Folk Art Flowers in Gouache with Peggy Dean

Folk art has us swooning every time we see it, be it Scandinavian, Mexican, Indian, Egyptian, etc. Nordic folk art has really pushed its way into regions all over the world and we’re pretty stoked about it. This class will explore folk art through experimentation with flowers and leaves. Throughout this workshop, you’ll learn about creating shapes, lines, and marks to create flowers and leaves, you’ll build unique color themes, and develop an effective artwork composition.

About the Artist

Peggy Dean has always been an artist, but also an educator at heart. In 2016, she founded The Pigeon Letters to pursue her passion of educating others by making creative knowledge more accessible. She has been featured on The Today Show for her award winning online classes and has released several best selling books with a focus on lettering, botanical illustration and watercolor techniques.
