A Blush Pibione Pillow
Our Pibione workshops have been so much fun to explore in the weaving world that we can’t help but be inspired to bring new, beautiful patterns from the work of Lindsey Campbell, our original workshop artist. Lindsey led us in a detailed weaving introduction to the art of Pibione tapestry making through her full workshop.
Featuring a new set of single ply wool yarns (this time in a bulkier weight providing for a thicker pillow front and bumpier Pibione ‘grape’ patterns), this Pibione pillow explores the idea of converting traditional frame loom weavings into textile goods for the home.
Utilizing the same tools & technique as our original workshop to weave, let’s transform our work together into a pillow for the home. With this materials kit, you’ll use the same loom, dowel, needle and technique as with the chunky yarn found in our original workshop. This add-on kit is accompanied by slightly adjusted instructions (with visuals) to guide you as you go.
This materials kit includes:
- three 50 gram skeins of single ply, Lana wool yarn milled in Italy for The Crafter’s Box
- a skein of cotton warp string
- a linen pillow backing kit
- a new intricate pattern with visual instructions for our second Pibione pillow (read more about our first here!)
**Some sewing skills required. A machine will speed up the assembly of the final pillow but hand stitching is an option.
Please note this is a materials kit to accompany Lindsey Campbell’s full Pibione Tapestry Weaving Workshop. It does not include the original and necessary tools such as a loom or Lindsey’s video instruction.
We are so excited to see what you’ll create. Happy making, everyone.
