Linen & Brass Utility Pouch – Open Seam for Embroidery
$18.00
Our custom line of linen utility pouches are most commonly used by our community for embroidery and printmaking projects. Customize your hand sewn pouch to create a carryall for your craft supplies (our medium-sized bag is perfect for drawing materials, our sketch books, leather journals or smaller embroidery projects).
This listing is for our open-seam project bags, perfect for embellishing with embroidery.
This bag arrives with an ‘open seam’ inside your bag – in other words, the seam at the bottom of the inside lining of the bag will arrive open so you can place a hoop or Q Snap between the layers. You’ll need to whip stitch the seam closed when you’re finished (just like Kristen Gula demonstrated in her Floral Embellished Pouch Workshop).
If you are looking for a ‘closed seam’ project bag to customize with silkscreen, block printing, mark making or stenciling, head to this listing instead.
With this small business collaboration, we’ve teamed up with a stitching co-op in Ohio to have each expertly constructed and handsewn. Each has a Robert Kaufman linen exterior and black cotton interior as well as a brass zipper + leather closure.
You may recognize this pouch and size from our Contemporary Embroidery Workshop with Sarah Benning — we included it in each and every kit as a storage case for her workshop. It’s proven to be a well-loved addition to the modern maker’s project bag.
This materials kit includes:
- our lined linen + brass utility pouch in your color of choice
To care:
We recommend hand or machine washing on gentle, don’t use bleach. Dry flat or hang to dry.
Happy making.
Note: This listing is intended to accompany Katie’s full workshop. This kit ships free if purchased by February 28th so we can include it in your workshop box. Purchasing this add-on listing by itself will not include free shipping, allow access to Katie’s digital workshop videos, or include all the materials sent in the full Woodland Botanical Embroidery Workshop.
