Welcome! We’ve built this membership community to be a slow crafting reminder of how important it is to feed our creative spirits. This project is also meant as a sustainable solution to support artists, small family businesses, and our quality manufacturers by providing them with advanced lead times through a monthly subscription model.
By joining our subscription, you’re opting into a monthly, curated craft project and to learn a new artistic style, to fully build out your crafting toolbox, and to explore your own personal creative boundaries!
With a monthly subscription, you can always pause, reactivate, skip, swap, or cancel your subscription within your account. 3- and 6-month subscriptions have the option to swap boxes in the middle of their subscription cycle; however, pauses or skips are not available in the middle of your 3-month subscription.
Please note that your payment information will be charged at the time of signing up and then again on the 8th of the month after that.

Looking for a beautiful instructional video to teach you a new craft? Who could blame you! Just follow these steps:
Log in to your Account > Navigate to Workshop Gallery > Scroll to Video > Craft!
If you are a member and receive the monthly Featured Makers kits, the tutorial video would appear in your Workshop Gallery on the 20th of the month. Your videos are always located here and will never expire. You get to experience the thoughtfully crafted process as long as you would like.

When purchasing a full kit or video-access from The Crafter's Box Marketplace, the video tutorial will appear in your account right away. Please refresh the page if you still do not see it or reach out to our Customer Experience Team.

Our Fulfillment Team works hard to make sure orders are assembled and shipped as soon as possible. It can vary based on the items in your order, the time of day you placed your order, and our current stock levels. Our team aims to assemble, package, and ship your order within 3 business days. Shipping and arrival may be affected by inventory, observed holidays, or carrier peak periods.
Our premium workshops and larger products often include many items, therefore have an extended timeline for shipping. Please reach out to us for an exact timeline - our Customer Experience Team will be happy to provide you with a quote based on your exact order.
Once your package is shipped, you’ll be emailed with tracking details and your order should arrive in 3-7 business days.
Marketplace orders are calculated based on the weight of each product and shipping destination. Shipping estimates are provided at Checkout.
We kit and ship all subscription boxes at the same time each month. We aim for all subscription boxes to ship by the third week of the month.
We offer free shipping anywhere in the US for subscription orders. $20 flat rate per box to Canada, and $25 flat rate per box to all other international countries outside of the US.
Important dates for subscriptions to keep in mind:
- 1st of the month: our monthly Featured Maker project is announced and open for enrollment, either until we sell out or until the end of the month.
- 7th of the month: last day to pause, cancel, skip your subscription
- 8th of the month: subscriptions auto-renew.
- 15th of the month: last day for free shipping when you order our featured add ons.
- Third week of the month: we ship our boxes to you. You should receive them within 5-7 business days if you are in the US. International orders can take 2-3 weeks (sometimes more if the customs process is delayed).
- USPS does not allow us to file an international claim until 4-6 weeks after an international shipment has gone missing. It's our policy to wait a full 6 weeks before investigating missing boxes to comply with their request. Our orders do not ship with insurance.
- Occasionally the small suppliers we collaborate with experience production delays. The above calendar is meant as a guideline and there can be exceptions. Our team will notify you of any major delays.
- For our international customers, import and duty fees are the responsibility of our community members. They vary from country to country and adjust based on local laws (a side note that in our experience our kits fall within import limitations but every country is different). Ordering from our site means you understand and accept our shipping terms and conditions.
If you have a monthly subscription, you can pause and reactivate your subscription from within your Account Dashboard.
If you have a 3-month or 6-month subscription, your account is processed for three projects in a row. After the third project ships, you're welcome to pause or cancel your account before your next subscription cycle begins.
If our community is not right for you, that’s okay. You can cancel your membership at any time within your Account Dashboard as well.
To pause, skip, reactivate, or cancel your subscription, be sure to do so at least a day before your subscription auto-renews (which is on the 8th of each month).
Once you have an active subscription and if you're not interested in the upcoming featured workshop, you have the option to swap your box. Box Swaps are available from the 1st - 14th of the month. 14th is the last day you can swap your box. There's a cutoff date so we can ship out your box with a seamless experience.
To make your box swap selection, please follow these steps:
- Login to your account
- Click on 'Account Dashboard'
- Scroll down to see your Subscription
- Click 'View'
- Click 'Choose a different workshop to ship'
- Make your box swap selection
- Checkout at $0 - this will replace the current featured workshop.
Each workshop box includes:
- A detailed, digital workshop led by the Featured Maker
- A live & recorded Maker Chat Q&A with our Featured Maker
- Curated tools and materials from artisan suppliers
As a member of The Crafter’s Box, we’ll send a lovingly kitted box of tools + materials to your doorstep on a monthly basis. Each month we feature a new expert maker and that maker has built for us a unique, grown-up, on-trend project that reflects their artistic style. In addition to the monthly box, our Featured Maker has created an educational, digital workshop to teach their crafting medium and to offer their tips + tricks.
The best part of this model is the ability to revisit workshops in the future to create again and again. Happy making!
In addition to our monthly workshop, every month we share one or more featured add-on kits. For those looking to expand on a particular workshop, these kits offers more materials to explore. Add-on kits require the same workshop video and tools as our full workshop kit - as such, to order you must be participating in that full workshop.
Our materials kits are available for purchase in our Marketplace. These are supplemental kits to our full workshop kit (also available in the Marketplace). They offer an opportunity to keep making in a unique crafting technique. Materials kits do not include workshop video and tools to complete the project.
Oh no! We are so sorry for the inconvenience and we would love to make it right as quickly as possible. Our team works extra hard to assemble kits in a way that materials won’t fall out or get lost. So first thing, please double-check that the item isn’t hiding!

Unused boxes can be returned in their original condition for a full refund back to the customer's original tender within 60 days of receiving their box. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are to be shipped to 4635 Mission Gorge Rd, Suite A, San Diego, CA 92120
